Story
The term "Sooner Magic" refers to an OU football game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the fall of 1976 when the Sooners were trailing 17-7 heading into the fourth quarter. After a 51-yard touchdown by Elvis Peacock and a failed two-point conversion, the Sooners found themselves down 4 with 3:30 to go. After two trick plays, including a halfback pass and a hook-and-ladder play, the Sooners scored the game-winning touchdown with seconds left to secure a share of the Big 8 Conference title for the fifth year in a row.
